Having an interest in 80's music allowed a broad body of research from genre of music to colour and pattern. The historical side of the 80's music of disco and the combination of African America and the LGBTQ community allowed a pop of neon colour on top of the dark background, running alongside the theme being disco. Keeping the geometric abstract designs allowed these colour to bounce from one another, researching into Bauhaus and artists such as Kandinsky, looking into the pop of various colours along with the deconstructed shapes placed against one another as well as layering for inspiration of placement and linking this to nights from Studio 54 and menswear. Therefore, various print processes included glitter, foils and metallics to link directly to the disco theme and to contrast the surface pattern and colour to the dark fabric.
